Flannel shirts are everything for me. I have a lot of them on my closet right now. Why? Because they are very versatile. You can use them to school, to work, to the mall – just almost everywhere. You have different ways to style them – from wearing them with leggings or tucking them in some denim jeans. Flannel shirts, also commonly known as plaid shirts, are so easy to wear that I would think every one should have them in their own respective closets. If you don’t, I really really think you should! 😉
Anyhow, as much as I love flannel shirts, I still sometimes lack ideas on how to wear them on a certain day. I’ve worn them a lot of times in the same ways that it has gotten to the point where I think, the way I’m wearing them is pretty boring already. If you can relate or if you’re just here to know more ways on how to wear them, this blog post is for you.
Wear flannel shirts as a tie front top
In this OOTD, I wore this white bralette that seems to me like a semi-crop top (lol) with my favorite black skort. Because this was taken on a Sunday and I couldn’t just go to church wearing such a sexy outfit, I opted to wear it with a flannel shirt over. Turns out, it was such a great decision.
In wearing plaid shirts, you can tie in the front of the shirt and make it look like a crop top or even just a regular top. This gives it a more fabulous and girly look amid the edginess of the flannel.
Wear flannel shirts as a sweater
This is a very typical way of styling this type of shirts but it’s still classic and edgy at the same time. You may wear it with its long sleeves or fold the sleeves up to your elbow. Freedom really is what flannel shirts give to you.
Also for pictures or just for a casual day, maybe you can remove it from your shoulders to look sexier and more styled.
Wear flannel shirts on your hips
Fave, fave, fave! It’s just a simple thing to do to tie the sleeves of your shirt to your hips but it goes a long way. It gives you a sexier vibe but still looking so cool and dapper at the same time. It also helps if the weather in your place is quite hot.
